Crockett & Jones is due to be aired tonight at 6.30pm on the BBC’s Great British Railway Journeys ‘Northampton to Nuneaton’ episode. As one of our web design and development clients we wanted to use them as a case study and to outline in a little more detail how we offered our services to enhance the customer experience to their website.

Newedge helped create an advanced CMS to help with the daily needs and requirements of the back end functionality of the website. From a front-end perspective the areas of improvement were to give a better user journey to people coming in from mobile devices, this was helped with the creation of a mobile application and mobile website, designed to give users a thumb friendly way to navigate the website. To help further enhance the website for visitors, 360 virtual tours were implemented on the product range to give potential customers a more detailed view of the shoes available online from Crockett & Jones, designed to improve the transparency and quality of the products to the potential consumer.

Due to the company’s presence in France and Belgium, Crockett & Jones wanted to improve the experience of French speaking visitors, Newedge incorporated multi-lingual functionality onto their newly designed website.
