The challenge
When Duncan Smith (MD of iCompli) approached us to redevelop the company website we grabbed the bull by the horns and when for it! This site features some of the most advanced database and content management technology we have development.
Duncan wanted to be able to control the website from anywhere with an internet connection, be able to add secured and password protected PDFs for member download, add courses for delegate bookings and take payment online via a third party payment partner, Protx, and also control latest news items and other feeds through existing RSS technologies.
The solution
Once the site was laid out and every feature decided we decided to build a part content management system which allowed control over certain aspects of the site, as Duncan didn’t really need full control over everything this saved his company budget and brought the development timeline forward.
We provided a functional administration system which allows for PDF uploads, image uploads, course administration, RSS feed reading, member administration and CSV exporting.
This system allows Duncan to track what members are looking at which documents and if they viewed information about a course. This then allows Duncan to provide direct marketing via email to those customers providing special offers or further incentive to make a purchase.
The result
A well thought out website with continual “call to actions” within the website that drives customer purchases in a channelled sales system. The site is updatable from any computer with an internet connection making it a tool set which can go global should the need arise.
